Park Lane Noosa North Shore
For a holiday park like Park Lane Noosa North Shore, reliable connectivity is just as important as power. Guests expect strong Wi-Fi and reliable reception wherever they are on site. For the Park Lane team, connectivity also supports daily operations, communication, booking systems and the overall customer experience. Terrain Electrical was brought in to improve site-wide Wi-Fi performance, support operational efficiency and deliver a network that could scale with the park’s future needs.
Park Lane Noosa North Shore operates across a large, active site with multiple areas, existing infrastructure and the added challenge of being located away from the mainland. Connectivity was not meeting modern guest expectations, and the team needed a better solution to support both customer experience and internal operations. The project also needed to be completed while the park continued running. That meant working around active areas, coordinating with multiple parties and keeping the existing network operational while the new network was being built.
Terrain Electrical acted as the single point of contact across the project, coordinating earthworks, data, power and IT.
This included working with the Park Lane team, external IT support and excavation contractors to ensure the project moved forward safely and efficiently.
The network upgrade increased the park’s internet capacity from 100 megabits to 500 megabits, then distributed that connection around the site using ethernet, fibre and Wi-Fi.
The project required careful planning across both infrastructure and connectivity. Terrain Electrical helped design and deliver a scalable network solution that could support the park’s current requirements while allowing for future growth.
Works included underground pathways, pits and pipes, fibre and ethernet distribution, Wi-Fi network deployment and coordination between the electrical, data and IT components of the project. Because the site is surrounded by natural bushland, the team also had to plan and navigate routes carefully while installing underground infrastructure.
The result was a stronger, more reliable connectivity solution for the park, improving Wi-Fi performance for guests and communication for the Park Lane team.
As Jo Hogg, Operations Manager for Accommodation at Park Lane Noosa North Shore, shared: “The goal of bringing Terrain Electrical in was to improve our efficiency and our communication with respect to our Wi-Fi so that our customers have a good experience.” She also noted:
